2021 SPRING Season Interest?

Dear Parents and Friends of MSA Soccer,

We hope that this message finds everyone healthy and surviving the cold winter months! Your Mountaintop Soccer (MSA) Board is moving forward with exploring our plans for a potential 2021 Spring Soccer Season pending the impacts of the ongoing pandemic.

For all parents that registered children for the Fall 2020 Season, we would like to gauge your interest in your kids participating in a potential 2021 Spring Season.

The following is a fairly brief overview of what the season will look like:

Who

The spring season will be open to all children who would have been eligible to participate in the Fall 2020 Season (kids aged 4-15).

We will be in need of coaches and volunteers to help throughout the season. Coaches will be required to participate in mandatory training clinics specifically related to Covid-19 protocols.

When

We envision that practices will begin potentially in mid to late April and the season will run through the second week of June and conclude in sync with the last day of school.

Where

We will utilize the Loch Lynn soccer complex and other locations that may become available.

How

Safety Protocols

MSA will adhere to all safety protocols that are mandated by the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association such as, but not limited to: ALL Players, coaches and parents must wear masks at all times when entering the soccer fields. Disinfectant sprays will be available for hands as well as for soccer balls, goal posts, bathrooms, etc. The 6 ft. separation rule will be in effect for all families.

Possible family limit sizes may be imposed as per CDC and MSYSA Youth Soccer guidelines. For a more complete listing of safety protocols please visit www.msysa.org.

Registration:

• If you registered for the Fall 2020 Season, you will be asked via email to confirm your participation in the 2021 Spring Season.
• If you did not register for the Fall Season, but are interested in the Spring Season, we will have a sign-up link available on our website, at a later date, at www.mountaintopsoccerassociation.org

Cost:
Similar to the Fall Season, we will not be requiring any fees for your sign-up to participate in the Spring Season. If we are able to have the season, we will simply ask for donations to cover the necessary costs of operations.

What

Please email us at info@mountaintopsoccerassociation.org no later than Monday, February 15, 2021 and let us know if you are / are not interested in your child(ren) playing during a potential Spring 2021 Season.

Thank you for your continued interest in Mountaintop Soccer. Note that while we are hopeful that this Spring Season can take place and we can get the kids back on the field, we will be constantly monitoring the impacts of the pandemic before a final decision to play is made.
